A large number of ramblers are going “overseas” on 2nd May to walk the beautiful island of Inishbofin off the Galway coast. Its that time of year again when we visit Carrabane and Dunsandle Woods for our traditional Christmas ramble. The walk is approximately 2hrs duration. Gearoid is leader and will get us back in plenty of time for our club Christmas dinner at 2pm. Meet 09.30 Gort Rd and rear of Gate lodge at 09.45.

This walk is along the Co. Clare coast from Liscannor to Doolin via Cliffs of Moher and is approx. 12 km. Taking this direction northwards there are no major ascents but there are many flagstone steps particularly near the visitors centre.
